PARADOX was dark and funny book The initial thought was “Oh no, this’ll be a funny war story”, but as you get to the center, you begin to see how terrible the situations are. You start to feel sorry for the characters and despised others, and later you learn that some have died by suicide, being mutilated or being drowned or thrown from their homes windows. People you know are innocent, but you feel anger and panic. You also start to cry out of pity for the people you don’t think are worthy of dying.
